The Queen Victoria 200 Walk 
Celebrating the life of Queen Victoria – Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and Empress of India. Starting on 24 May 2019 – the 200th anniversary of her birth. Royal Windsor Tours will be hosting this special walk. 
On this walk you will get to know what Queen Victoria was like; her marriage to Prince Albert and their devoted love for each other; the Great Exhibition of 1851 and much more. We will also look at what Victorian life was like; the social and industrial issues of the day; Victoria’s loss of her Consort Prince Albert that emotionally marked her as the ‘Widow of Windsor’. 
You will also look at controversial issues in the Royal household that made Victoria’s life interesting and special. On this walk we will also talk about other Monarchs and their relationship with Windsor. The Royal Guard, the Long Walk and Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s resting place. 
The tour lasts 1.5 hours. Available from 24 May – 31 May and from 4 June – 31 July 2019 at 15:30.

Please meet us by the black information screen by the Tower Brasserie on the corner of Harte and Garter Hotel, Jubilee Arch, Windsor.

The Royal Windsor Steam Express 
Established in 1999 Steam Dreams Rail Co is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and to mark this special occasion they have launched The Royal Windsor Steam Express, an exciting itinerary departing from London Waterloo. 
Sit back and relax as you head off on the first ever regular steam train service from London Waterloo to Windsor and let the romance of steam travel whisk you away to a bygone era. 
Starting from London Waterloo the Royal Windsor Steam Express passes many of London's famous landmarks including the London Eye and Houses of Parliament. As you head towards the leafy suburbs, crossing the River Thames at least once, you will pass reservoirs and lakes to reach Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, designed by William Tite for the London & South Western Railway (LSWR) as a royal station. 
On this one-way trip from London to Windsor, passengers can choose from three classes of travel: Pullman Style Dining with a Champagne brunch served on board or if you prefer the flexibility of buying from our on-board range of snacks and drinks, First Class or Standard Class. 
Once in historic Windsor, choose from a variety of wonderful attractions including Windsor Castle, river trips, open top bus rides and walking tours. The town is full of great shops and fantastic places to eat.

The Royal Windsor Steamboat Express runs Tuesdays between 4 June and 3 September with departures at: 10:00. 10:30, 11:30, 12:00, 13:00, 13:30, 14:30, 15:00, 16:00 and 16:30. 
Monday Matinees: 200th Anniversary Victoria & Albert Film Series 
This summer, Cumberland Lodge, located in the Heart of Windsor Great Park, is hosting a Monday Matinees film series, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. 
Film viewings will take place weekly, from Monday 10 June to Monday 8 July 2019, starting at 2pm. 
From 1.45pm in 'The Vaults', the newly refurbished basement entertainment space, for an afternoon of cinema and refreshments. 
Access to The Vaults at Cumberland Lodge is via our main front door and a lift or staircase, and there is plenty of free parking on site, at the front of the main Lodge. 
All showings begin at 2pm. 
£5 per person (includes hot/soft drinks and ice cream). 
This is a fundraising event, so all monies raised will go towards supporting our charitable work.

The carriage stops for 30 minutes (or longer if you wish) for you to picnic by the beautiful 18th-century lake called Cow Pond, enjoy wildlife and waterlilies in the heart of Windsor Great Park. Waterlilies flower here from May to September. 
Windsor Dog Show 
Nearly 10,000 dogs from all over the UK and from overseas will arrive in Windsor for the very popular Windsor Championship Dog Show – the largest event of its kind in the South of England and amongst the biggest in the UK. 
With Windsor Castle as a backdrop and a ‘garden party’ atmosphere it is very popular with everyone.

Saturday 29 June 2019 - Gundogs 
Sunday 30 June 2019 - Hounds and Utility and the finale, the Best in Show. 
The pedigree dogs taking part will be judged on a number of factors in the ring, including temperament and that they are fit, healthy and good examples of their breed, as they compete for the ultimate Best in Show award. 
Shopping and Dining at Windsor Championship Dog Show 
There will be over 60 dog-related trade stands and quality food vendors, with a running buffet, refreshments, ice cream in abundance and an Overseas Hospitality Tent for our overseas visitors who come from as far away as Australia, the US, South Africa and Japan. 
Windsor Championship Dog Show Tickets 
The show promises to be an interesting and entertaining weekend for all. Admission is FREE and car parking is £10 per car. No dogs are allowed to be left in cars in the car park, under any circumstances. 
Visitors who wish to bring their own dog can do so as a ‘Spectator Dog’. All spectator dogs must be over 6 months of age, fully vaccinated and kept on a collar and lead at all times. A brief form must be completed at the entrance of the show and a fee of £8 paid.
